For anyone who has lived in this country as long as I have, I’ve seen a lot happen, a lot of good changes over the years and sad to say far more bad changes, especially as of late. I’m sure there are still some of you out there that know what I’m talking about and yes, it’s frustrating as hell to realize that your country is dying right before your very eyes.
I grew up during a time when REAL racism existed, the younger people of today who do nothing but play the victim card have absolutely no damn idea what racism truly is. I remember when blacks couldn’t sit at the counter at a place called Woolworth’s, a time when there were white and black drinking fountains and bathrooms, a time when blacks had to sit at the back of the bus, hell, there were even states that wouldn’t allow whites and blacks to get married! And let’s not forget about hearing about all the crosses being burnt on the front lawns of innocent black families homes. Luckily, I was raised by parents that weren’t racists and allowed me to question all of it, in fact one of my Christmas wishes one year was a doll called “Betsy Wetsy” but I insisted on the black version that I would take with me everywhere I went. I’m sure by now you can imagine the kind of reaction that must have gotten in public. LOL The most common remark was “How can you let your child walk around with a doll like that?” My parents unwavering response was always “My child is color blind.” (Oh dear God, we can’t even say that term today without a damn backlash from people who have no idea what racism is!)
Back in those days, racism wasn’t just on our side of the aisle either, trust me, both races were guilty (although the Blacks had more reason to be). We moved from the Midwest when I was 5 to the once great state of California, yes, it was once a great place to live. However, my first three years wasn’t the best, we lived in Compton, you read that right, we lived in predominately Black Compton, CA. Trust me, wasn’t easy for a little white girl to live in such a place. I was definitely an easy target. I was eventually befriended by two nice Black teen boys who protected me on the way to and from school each day. It’s thanks to them that my attitude did not change because it would have been easy to have turned racist after the way I was treated as a child. But one basic thing that made it possible to rise above it all was God, those two boys I recall had a deep faith in God, just as I did as a child. It was the basic belief in God that made us friends and we saw no color barriers because the three of us knew that God saw no color barriers so why should we?
So what does this all have to do with getting back to basics? A lot really because our country has totally abandoned the three basics that has held this country together for so long, until now. Those three basics are God, family, and country.
Basic #1 God
Back in 1963 when the American people were asked this question: “Do you with absolute certainty believe in God?” The answer was a resounding “Yes.” coming in at 97%. That’s amazing, 97% of Americans absolutely believed in God. Fast forward to today: depending on the poll it wavers between 65% and 70%. We can also look at each current generation and see where their beliefs stand:
- Baby Boomers – 70%
- Gen X – 28%
- Older Millennial – 12%
- Younger Millennial – 11%
Except for the Boomers, it looks like God is dying in this country. And ours is a nation that not only was founded on Judeo/Christian beliefs but that also made a covenant with God the moment we set foot on North American soil! You can put my generation down all you want, but at least most of us still strongly believe in the existence of God!
You can see that the moment the government decided to step in and start removing God from public life, the decline of our country began. The biggest thing was when they removed prayer from school. I remember going to school and we had time for daily prayer and once a week those who wanted to were allowed to leave class and go to religious education for an hour a week. And where were strong church leaders in all of this? Except for the likes of MLK Jr. and Billy Graham, they were pretty weak and silent on the subject (much like today – weak leaders make for a weak church). And now, I don’t even think kids can get away with bringing a Bible on a public school campus! It’s funny how a nation forgot what God does to His people when they cast Him aside for idols, just ask the Israelites.
When we cast God out, it leaves the door open to a variety of idols because as people of God, we’re left with a vacancy in our hearts, when He’s gone. Something has to fill that void. Early in our decline in allowing Him to be cast aside, we filled that void with music (love music nothing against it), TV, drugs and alcohol. As the years progressed we’ve found more and more idols to take the place of God in our lives, first computers, games, the internet, cell phones and now Social Media that seems to be the all and end all of most lives. Which has led to us being a group of pathetic, listless, uncompassionate, human beings. And to many the only thing of importance is “self”.
As a society we’ve totally forgotten how basic God is for life to flourish and without Him we are just like the flowers without the rain. Just look around you everywhere you can see how our nation is just drying up and about to whither away to nothing. Which is exactly what this Marxist government wants and all those who support and believe the same way they do. It’s been a 100 years in the making and they’ve almost finished.
Even though the chances are slim, there’s still a shot we can turn it around, however, the only way that’s going to happen, is if more people in this country just let go of their doubts and turn back to our #1 basic need – God!
Basic #2 Family
Yep back in the day when I was growing up, it was strange to hear of a single mom, sure they existed, heck my own grandmother had been a single mom (that was really rare for the 1930’s & 40’s) but it was far more common to have all your friends growing up in a two parent home and male and female couples, none of this same sex marriages, good God when I grew up, there were two genders period, end of discussion. We just took it for granted that a traditional, God fearing family, was the norm and made for pretty happy childhoods for most of us. You see back in the 60’s, we were lucky, 85% of all kids had two parents in the home. Only 11% of children lived with just their mothers, that number has more than tripled now! A lot of that, again has to do with government interference! We can thank a lot of it on the policies laid down by President LBJ (Lyndon Baines Johnson). That’s right, he called it “The Great Society”. He expanded the welfare program so much that it actually incentivized single mothers to not have the father in the home. (By the way, this hurt the Black community the most and still does to this very day. But hey, keep on voting for those Demoncrats!)
You see, again, it’s Marxist ideology that does not believe in the traditional or “nuclear” family as it was when I grew up! You see, the only way to have a strong nation is to have a strong basic belief in God and a strong family foundation, both of which we’ve nearly lost up to this point in time. Can you see now how basic #1 also influences the strength of basic #2? So, how do we fix it? Well, we have to go back to basic #1, turn back to God! That’s the only way we’ll ever be able to strengthen the family again and fight off the evils of all the things being forced on us as the “new normal”. People, it is NOT normal to say a man is a woman and a woman is a man, that alone is no different than spitting in God’s face! Hell, my 9 month old puppy knows the difference between a man and a woman! We need to stand up and fight for the children and stop confusing them more than “normal” life and development already confuses them. Stop telling them there’s a zillion different genders and that they can change their sex if they feel different inside and then tell them if they change their mind they can go back to what they were born as. Liars! Anyone who tells an innocent child that lie should be locked up for life! And that’s being kind!
Modern technology has destroyed the traditional family as well. As great as technology is and can be, it’s one of the main evils tearing down the fabric of the nuclear family. All family members can and are guilty. How many times have you seen entire families out somewhere in public and every single one of them have their heads buried in their damn phones? Hell, sometimes they’ll even text each other while sitting right next to each other. Give me a freakin’ break! What the hell ever happened to face to face, one on one conversation? How many families have family nights together? I remember growing up we had family game night, if we weren’t out camping or fishing on the weekends, we’d reserve Saturday nights for family game night. And there was no getting out of it either until I was in high school. Even then I still was encouraged to participate at least once a month. How many families even do that once a year? And how many families sit down every night and eat dinner together and without their damn phones? For me, that was the time of day we all sat around and talked about our day with each other, for me, there was no getting out of eating dinner with the family, (and if the phone rang, my dad would give me a look and stern warning “Don’t you dare answer that damn thing!” except for Friday night football games in high school, otherwise I’d had better been sitting at that dinner table every night! But today, what a laugh! To be honest, it’s heartbreaking. Because sadly, the poor kids today don’t know what they’re missing. But hey, the Marxist ideologists in this country love it! “Mission accomplished!” they rejoice!
Basic #3 Country
All I can say here is this: if you don’t have basic #1 and basic #2, how the hell are you going to have basic #3 – love of country? You’re not and that’s why there’s been such a decline in respect and love for a country that set out with such great hope and promise. What we see today is not at all what the Founders had envisioned for this nation. They envisioned a nation that would continue to grow in faith, family and love of country, one that others would envy and want to emulate. And for about 200 plus years it pretty much worked that way. Sure, we were never perfect and the Founders knew even then we were flawed but our goal was to work towards perfection, Godly perfection, I bet not many of you knew that the three government branches were based on the Holy Trinity! The Legislative branch represented the Maker of laws, Judicial represented the fair judgment of God and His laws and the Executive branch represented the Executor of the laws. As in the Holy Trinity all three, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were all three separate branches of one Supreme Body = God, as for the separate branches they were all suppose to be separate yet make up one supreme body, the government whose sole purpose was to support the laws, protect the liberty, the justice and the pursuit of happiness of the people they served. Nothing more and nothing less. But this is not the government that we see now. What we’re experiencing is a government that has forgotten its roots and it’s sole purpose.
Today, most children aren’t even taught the same history, in fact they’re taught very little of the truth. In fact, they barely cover WWI and WWII doesn’t even start until we bombed Japan, just a blip on Vietnam and 9/11 isn’t even mentioned. And we wonder why people don’t have a connection to this country? It’s because they don’t have any idea of who we are as Americans, Many of them have no idea what people went through and all the sacrifices they gave just so people today can enjoy what they have today and take for granted. Instead they are taught that there are only two kinds of Americans: oppressors and oppressed. When I went to school, we were taught that even though our country was far from perfect we were a nation that thrived because of those that came before us and we were taught to be proud of it all. We were taught what it meant to be American and of course the importance of basic #1 God and basic #2 family was in order for us to have love of our country. But today, it’s just the opposite, they teach our children that the country is worthless and that they should be ashamed of being an American. So, is it any wonder that there is so little respect and love for our country today? Again it all leads back to the fact that it’s Marxist ideology that has corrupted the government to the point to where it is today.
The people with Marxist ideologies have been working overtime behind the scenes for many decades to slowly erode away at the fabric of this once great nation and today has been the main reason why all three of the our basics have also been eroded and are quickly fading into the wind and could very soon be gone forever.
So, you want to save the country? There’s only one way to do it:
- Turn back to God
- Strengthen the family
- Love your country
That’s it, in a nut shell, the only way to save the country is to get back to basics!
